Solving crime with the applications of Big Data, Analytics and Data Mining.
This special One Day Seminar will be held on May 12, 2017, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, in the 3rd floor lecture hall at the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science at the University of New Haven. Dr. Henry C. Lee will address the attendees on the use of Big Data to solve crime. Dr. Philip Chen, an independent IT consultant and adjunct faculty at Cal State Fullerton will address the applications of Big Data, the use of analytics, and data mining in solving crime. Paul Connick, District Attorney from Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, will discuss a significant criminal case where data was used to solve it.
The topic of Big Data and it’s use in criminal investigations has become a new tool for law enforcement and prosecutors. The new applications will be explored in this One Day Seminar. A reception will be held after the event where attendees can meet the speakers.
