The Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science at the University of New Haven will present an Advanced Shooting Reconstruction Course June 5-9, 2017.
The course is designed for police officers who will investigate shooting incidents. The course will cover the theory of shooting incident reconstruction and the practical applications of tools and instruments on the scene to record and recreate the events that occurred. Particular emphasis will be on the distance and trajectory of projectiles and the positions of the involved persons in the shooting incident. Emphasis will also be on the proper recognition, documentation, and collection of evidence.
The course will include a practical outdoor session at a local police firearms range.
The course is limited to police officers and a visiting university cohort.
Tuition payments are accepted in the form of checks, credit card, agency purchase orders, or billed.
