The Advanced Crime Scene Technology and Investigation course will focus on the uses of new technology to investigate crime scenes. Technology can enhance the search for evidence and the identification of evidence that would otherwise be “missed” during a crime scene search. Advanced digital photography and lighting techniques, latent fingerprint development using chemicals and alternate light sources, RAMAN and X-RAY, new crime scene documentation techniques utilizing OSCR 360 crime scene cameras, and ground penetrating RADAR (GPR) for locating clandestine graves wil be covered.
This course will be useful for police officers and crime scene technicians in the field, forensic scientists, university students, and private practitioners.
